Join us for an introduction to the exciting world of cyber security with AFA CyberCamp sponsored by Intuitive Research Corporation. The HSU Educational Foundation will host a week long CyberCamp at the HSU Innovation Institute South in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
AFA CyberCamps are designed for high school and middle school students who are just getting into cybersecurity and want to learn more. Learn all the basics you will need to start or join a CyberPatriot team at your school next year!
Parents: This camp is for students who have an interest in learning more about securing Windows and Unix operating systems and the field of information security. If your child has no interest in these technologies, another camp may be better suited for them as spending the day on a Unix command line is great for some, a really long day for others. Students should bring lunch and a personal water bottle daily.
This is a week long event from July 26th – 30th. Camp time is 9:00AM until 1:00PM
The HSU Educational Foundation workforce development partner for this camp is Intuitive Research and Technology.
The HSU Educational Foundation 2021 Summer Camp COVID protocol is in alignment with the State of Florida Executive Order number 21.102:
• Each participant and instructor will be screened with a verbal health status question and have their temperature checked upon arrival.
• Participants and instructors will be advised that it is a personal choice if they choose to wear a mask during classroom hours.
• Any individuals showing signs of illness will not be admitted for the day or asked to leave.
